Delicious old neighborhood style Italian pizza. Sauce is flavorful. Dough is crisp with a chew. Thin crust with a balanced sauce to cheese ratio. Not too salty. Quality ingredients. One of the bests in the North East imo. Mild wings are tangy with a sweetness and fried perfectly. I always get them. The lady who takes your order is very nice and I appreciate that.
The best pizza I’ve had in or around NE Philly, although a little pricey, you get what you pay for & that’s top quality pizza. Definitely my go to spot now.
Luca Pizza is a slice of Italy right in our neighborhood! The Margherita pizza was pure perfection, with a crispy crust and fresh, flavorful toppings. The cozy ambiance and friendly service made the experience even better. Five stars – I'll definitely be back for more!
On Feb 2nd, I ordered an 18 inch Pizza with Extra Sauce and a 16 inch Pizza with Pepperoni from the Slice app for Pickup. Honestly, I order a ton of Pizza and this was the BLANDEST PIZZA I have ever eaten. This place was THE PLACE to get Pizza from when they were located in the Woodhaven Mall. This is obviously different ownership, IT HAS TO BE! Additionally, this Pizza is not cheap. The 18" was approximately $22 (Had hardly any Sauce, let alone Extra Sauce) and the 16" with Pepperoni was $20. I would gladly pay these prices for a quality product but when I picked these Pizza's up I was going to ask them if they were giving me empty boxes because that is how light they were. I don't mind a thin crust Pizza, but this Pizza tasted like dry cardboard with some light cheese and hardly any sauce on it! Save your money, you can buy much better Pizza in this incredibly high inflation economy!
Slices are filling and service is fast and friendly...as for the slices..the dough is dense so expect a heavy slice. Crust isnt thick but is also dense.. Dough is decent with chew. Sauce is wet and on a saucy side...but not as flavorful as I would like. Cheese is ample with nice pull and chew. I topped mine with some pepper flakes and oregano and it tasted perfect..
Pro tip: Ask for the lunch special: 2 slices and a can soda $6.
Almost all of their stuff is good. But I had the worst Chicken Cheesesteak of my life from here today. It tasted like someone took 2 day old refrigerated chicken, mixed it with turkey from thanksgiving, shredded it and said "they will never know". It had such a lack of flavor, that the 'old refrigerated chicken' taste WAS the flavor. It looked like it had some pepper on it, but it tasted completely unseasoned. For reference, this chicken cheesesteak would make a Wawa chicken cheesesteak taste like it was made by Gordan Ramsey, that's how bad it was. I write this so hopefully nobody has to deal with the mistake of a sandwich that I tasted today
Best pizza in the area, smells and feels like a pizza place in NY from my childhood.
Their pizzaiolo is a marvel to see, it's worth stopping by just to watch him work.
Tried pizza for first time in a long time and was very disappointed. The crust was like eating rubberized cardboard. I ate one half of a slice and threw away the rest. I remember back in the day when Luca Pizza was in Woodhaven Mall and it was the best. Sorry to say it’s not like that now. I won’t be going back.
